Happy Halloween

We just came back from a great Party that our church put on. There were lots of activities for the kids. It was fun learning new little kid English Party games. Raven won a prize for having the best costume under 5. She was a Pumpkin, Princess, Witch. She had on a pumpkin fancy dress, a tiara and a witches hat with a witches broom. Mardy was Clark Kent and I was a She Devil. 4 hours in pointy toe boots with 3 and 3/4 inch heels would make anyone a She Devil, I didn't even need the horns. Just kidding. I wasn't that bad.

Raven and I went to another party earlier today. It was farther away then the previous ones so we walked about 20 minutes to get to the bus stop and the bus was late. Then I was wondering how in the world I would know which stop was mine until I heard someone else come on the bus and ask for the same stop as mine. Oh Divinity is too kind! I followed them off the bus but it had gone further than I expected it would so it took me a little while to get turned around the right way and then I had another 15 minute walk ahead of me again. I'm so glad I decided to leave the boots at home. Raven had a great time at the party. We missed our chance to catch the bus and since it only comes around every hour I was so thankful to a new friend for offering us a ride home. Divinity was kind again.

Sorry I'm going backwards but oh well.... Thursday we had the missionaries over for dinner. One of the Elders from our area was on splits with another Elder from a different area. Guess where he was from.....Calgary. So funny. Mardy asked him what part he was from and then he asked if he knew the Bishops. The Elder started chuckling because that was his best friends family. Crazy coincidence. Then again lots of people know that family. That morning we went out grocery shopping for our meal. I needed to find a nice pork roast that I could shred with a fork after cooking. I asked the butcher lady what she thought would work. She said that a neck roast would be perfect. It was small enough that we wouldn't have to worry about left overs and it felt tender so we took it. Wow, was it tender. It worked out perfectly. I must say, Thank You Suzi for that recipe. If it wasn't so dang hard to make I would make it again and again. Hmm, maybe I could just get Muscle Man Mardy to shred it for me.....good thinking. Sorry off topic. So we had shredded pork tacos with mango chutney, fresh salsa and tortilla chips, which are nothing like the ones back home. I miss you hint of lime. After dinner we had some Belgian Chocolate Cake and a Lemon Drizzle cake. Both I finished off for breakfast the next morning, YUMMY.

Your halloween was over way before us! That is good you are learning to use the bus system. I'm sure you will stay skinny having to walk like that everywhere. I'm so glad the shredded pork recipe worked so good. I think I might make it again soon! You're she devil outfit was great. Mardy pulled off the Clark Kent really well, but seriously he should have died his hair dark brown. C'mon now :)
