October is Party month

We are all having a really great time living in Bournemouth. We have felt truly blessed to have already made lots of friends here in such a short time. Raven and I have already gone to 2 birthday parties this month and we have one this Saturday followed by a Church Halloween party later that night. Raven and I have been kept busy, going on walks and going to the Library. Raven is now fully potty trained and I'm so happy that it was a thousand times easier than I thought it would be. We've been able to talk to some family on Skype and my Grandma even called me yesterday. It was so nice to hear her voice and tell her how much I miss her.

Today Mardy and I had to speak in church today. Its amazing how you can write a 15 minute talk and still be done in 8 minutes. I can get talking really fast. I hope everyone was able to understand me with my strange accent. Thursday we are having the missionaries over for dinner. They are from the states and I'm not sure if it was Mardy's or their idea but we're having Mexican. I'm excited to finally eat something so hot it makes my nose run. We bought some hot cheesy crisps here and both Mardy and I could not understand how they could call it hot. Most of the food we've had here has been good but its been very mild. I think on Thursday we'll have fresh salsa and shredded pork tacos with mango chutney. The only problem will be finding the black beans.

The elevation of Lethbridge is 2986 Feet above sea level, the Bournemouth Airport is 37 feet about sea level. Mardy and I have both been adjusting to the difference. We're a little dizzy and frequent headaches. I went for a routine meet the staff checkup at our local Surgery (clinic) and she was a little alarmed at how low my blood pressure was. I was feeling fine up until that moment. Now I'm a little more cautious getting up.

Raven is having the time of her life playing with the new toys some very nice people at church gave us. I'm still looking for the volume button.
One thing that I (Charlotte... not Mardy) forgot to mention was my love of the British Fashion. Have you ever woke up in the morning and just wished that you were able to dress like the 80's again? Leggings under you mini skirt, the beautiful hair and make up, and last but not least the denim jacket? Well England is the place for you... and me too. I love it here. I don't need to feel ashamed to walk outside in my jeggings because everyone else is doing it too. (Google it, you'll want some too) I have a pair for every day of the week. So yes the fashion here is amazing. Bring on the jeggings!! (that was really Mardy, I will try to find a picture of jeggins and post it on here because I'm sure that you would all want a pair.) I'm still having trouble getting my pictures where I would like them to be so be patient with me. Jeggins are leggins (tights) that look like fake denim. They even have a fake stitch for pockets. Its great. They come in all sizes and the young and old alike can and do wear them.

I just can't picture you in jeggings, you will have to photo yourself in them. That picture of the beach looks magnificent. It looks so blue and clean. I did not know about sea level and stuff. I hope you can adjust soon. I'm glad you're not working anymore and having a great time with Raven. You must love it!@

Never will my legs embrace the jeggings. I found a pair that are Raven size and I was so tempted. Oh and another thing to do is wear your UGG's over them. Now that one makes sense to me because then your pant legs don't get wet while out in the rain. Watch out America these fashions statements are coming to you next. And what Mardy wrote about the 80's is entirely true right down to the puffy hair and the blue eye liner.

They look like skinny jeans but more prone to holes. Skinny jeans and uggs are all over the U of L. And guys at the U are wearing really colourful shoes, purple, yellow.

Today I saw two of the most amazing things ever. First, a side pony with a huge scrunchie. Yeah, I thought those ended with the 80's. The second was some leggings with slashes in them to give the 80's rocker groupie chick look. It's amazing some of the things you see over here. Especially when walking into internet cafes.

Huh, I actually saw some of those "jeggings" in walmart the other day and I did a double take and thought, "WHAT is she wearing!!!"
