I have to admit, as Christmas gets closer and closer I want a brown Christmas more and more. Snow is pretty, its nice to look at but I'd rather not have to go traipsing out to my cold car in minus temperatures. I'm really hoping that Mardy will get accepted into Law school somewhere warm, cross your fingers.
Raven isn't old enough to know too much about Christmas but what she does know is that the Santa's in the Mall are not real and in no possible way is she going to sit on his lap. She's taken down almost every ornament on our four foot fake tree and the lights around the window are just getting in the way of her driving her car on the window sill.
Since the cold snowy snap more than a week ago we have decided to potty train Raven. It was too cold to go anywhere and we were too broke to buy anything so we thought it would be a good time. She has done remarkably well. I'm so proud of her. She really hates it when she has an accident, unless its on the kitchen floor and then its fun to play in it, and she will usually come to mommy or daddy for help.
I'm on day 4 of my 11 day stretch of work. Its okay though, I'm only on call for 9 of them. That means I'm available to get called to the hospital 24/7, I guess 9. I'm going to be buzzing by next Sunday. I can't say that I'm too excited about Christmas this year, mainly for the fact that I'm working and then the fact that Raven still doesn't care about it and plus it isn't her first one either. All right, I lied, I'm excited for Raven to open her presents. I've really been looking forward to that so so soft Dora blanket from Daddy. Her room is so cold it will be a nice addition.
