I love Waterton in July. Zee, Suzi, Mardy and I braved a trip to Waterton with the total of 10 kids the other day. It was so much fun. Mardy and Owen were able to climb bears hump in the morning, after our picnic we hiked to Blackiston falls and later met up with the others. Of course nothing says Waterton more than eating huge ice cream cones that only the smart ones that got child size could finish. After cruising around on the four wheeled bikes we found the perfect camp kitchen. It was just off of the Mountains behind the campground and right beside the lake. While the food was cooking the kids went to go play at the lake. One kid came back to tell us that a Moose had come right between our camp kitchen and where the kids were playing and was right then drinking in the lake. I've heard enough stories about Moose to know to be afraid of them, but that didn't stop me from taking pictures. When we came back to check the food at the camp kitchen we found a nosy little deer in our camp kitchen sniffing at our food. The creature would not be deterred. Finally Mardy grabbed some wood and banged it together to scare it away. The deer left so we turned back to the Moose to take more pictures. Again when we got back the deer was back at the camp kitchen and had to be chased off a few times.

I'm so jealous right now (on so many levels..... maybe I shouldn't even start.....) that you got to see a big ol' MOOSE in Waterton! As if!!
